Began in 1890, the construction process seems still going. This temple becomes the centre of any Chinese celebrations like Chinese New Yearsm etc. A big Kuan Yin statue stand 30 m tall on the hillside on top of the pagoda and made of bronze material, replacing the old one that was burned. Take a closer look at this statue by using an elevator for RM 2.

How to get here? From Georgetown take a Transit Link Bus number 8 or just take a cab for about RM 20. Don't leave Penang without seeing this grant Buddhist temple.
